As a medical practice, we are in the privileged position of caring for many people who are elderly, unwell or immunocompromised.

We have a strong obligation to do everything we can to protect these people from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. We are happy to say that all of the staff at Surf Beach Surgery have been double vaccinated against COVID-19, but being in close proximity in a closed room is a high risk situation for transmission of infection, and not surprisingly, that’s how we work every day.

We have consequently made some decisions regarding how we can best care for our staff and community moving forward.

If you have any respiratory or flu like symptoms we will offer you a telehealth consultation and

it will then be up to your doctor to decide whether you need to be seen in person.

Please be honest with our reception staff when making an appointment so they can make the most appropriate booking for you.

We also continue to ask that all of our patients wait outside or in the car if you have any respiratory symptoms, and either knock or ring to let us know you when have arrived.

Please know that we are doing our best to care for everyone in this difficult time.
